Micro needling
Micro needling, is a treatment that uses lots of tiny needles to cause ‘trauma’ to the skin.
What is Micro needling?
Micro needling, is a treatment that uses lots of tiny needles to cause ‘trauma’ to the skin. These small contact points encourage the body to produce more collagen and elastin production, resulting in skin cell renewal.
This gives an almost immediate plumping effect. It can also help tackle other skin damage, such as, scarring, dark marks, sun damage and ageing spots.
What are the benefits to this treatment?
- Micro needling is most used to treat the following skin conditions:
- Dull skin: Rejuvenate tired and dull skin and combat the initial signs of ageing.
- Wrinkles: Fine lines and wrinkles on the face
- Scarring: Scars from acne and Chicken Pox can be improved and an uneven texture
- Pigmentation: Can help to fade dark patches such as pigmentation due to sun damage or ageing.
Micro needling is a great treatment for you if you have a darker skin tone, because it doesn’t involve peels or lasers, which can cause pigmentation issues.
Treatments can be performed on the body as well as the face, prices below are based on an area the size of the face.
How does Micro needling work?
A micro needling treatment allows for microchannels to be created in the skin, via the fractional vertical insertion of the needles.
Treatments are recommended at least every 3-4 weeks. A course of 6 sessions can improve skin for up to 24 months.
